Gregg Arthur – “Jazz & Cocktails” – Saturday, 29th of June, 2024:

“I love the way you sing. You’re yourself which makes you an original singer.

Your phrasing is perfection.” – Tony Bennett.

“A masterful interpreter of lyrics and a superior purveyor of immortal melodies.” – Eric Myers – The Weekend Australian ★★★★★

Jazz & Cocktails is a wonderful night out at Foundry 616 sipping classic cocktails and listening to the most loved jazz standards by one of Australia’s greatest vocalists and featuring Australian jazz royalty: pianist Peter Locke, bassist Craig Scott, drummer Andrew Dickeson, and guest artist guitarist Charlie Meadows.

Gregg Arthur first commanded a concert stage with Maestro Tommy Tycho, soon after in Las Vegas with Vincent Falcone, and he’s been blowing audiences away ever since.

Endorsed by the biggest names in jazz and praised by his contemporaries and the press, Australian vocalist and composer Gregg Arthur follows in the footsteps of Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, and Tony Bennett as one of the great interpreters of The Great American Songbook.

Gregg Arthur takes the stage featuring his most requested classics from composers Cole Porter, George & Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Rodgers & Hart, Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, and more.

“In my opinion he is the ultimate crooner.” – Maestro Tommy Tycho AM, MBE.

“Follows in the footsteps of Mr. Sinatra, and effectively disseminates the

great music which Mr. Sinatra loved so much– Vincent Falcone, pianist & conductor for Frank Sinatra.

“Most contemporary jazz singers would kill to pen songs the quality of Arthur’s originals.” – John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald

“…This exceptional singer, like Sinatra, delivers immortal melodies with impeccable phrasing.” – Eric Myers, the Weekend Australian.
