Matt McMahon is a multi-award winning pianist from Sydney who has performed and recorded with a range of Australian artists including Vince Jones, Phil Slater, Band Of Five Names, Katie Noonan, Joseph Tawadros, and visiting artists like Greg Osby, Wynton Marsalis, Veronica Swift, and Aaron Goldberg.
The Matt McMahon Quartet featuring Tom Avgenicos (trumpet), Jonothan Zwartz (bass), and Simon Barker (drums) will play Matt’s original pieces (including some brand new works) and a few standards. Matt‘s compositions focus on allowing musical conversations to be the centerpiece of their performances.
