Oscar Peterson Quartet | Michael J Brady (Solo):
Debuting music written over the past few years, Sydney bassist Oscar Peterson presents a set of contemporary Australian jazz music inspired by experiences traveling across the US, Europe and Australia. Featuring close friends and collaborators Matt Harris, Sam Killick and Ryu Kodama.

Perhaps a product of nominative determinism, Oscar Peterson is a musician & composer living and working on Gadigal & Dharawal land. He works as a double bassist, electric bassist, guitarist, drummer, composer, arranger & musical director in Sydney & across Australia.
Oscar graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Jazz Studies program in 2019. In July 2023, he attended the Siena Summer Jazz Workshop in Siena, Italy, studying with Linda May Han Oh, Matt Penman, Reinier Baas, Gerald Clayton & Shai Maestro. In 2022, he was selected as a member of the Australian National Jazz Orchestra Youth Big Band, performing at the Sydney Con Jazz Festival & Perth International Jazz Festival. Recently Oscar has been performing with original alt-jazz-blues quartet Wheels, gypsy-swing outfit the Cameron Jones Trio, vintage harmony group the Roslyns (as musical director), John Morrison’s Swing City and indie-rock band Safety First.
Michael J Brady is a Sydney-based musician with a foot in several scenes, manoeuvring through jazz, art, and indie circles, with a passion for creating music honestly and in the moment. Working primarily as a guitarist; he draws on effects, his voice, and multiple instruments as a means of exploring and sharing sound. Performing extensively with his Trio over the last few years, Michael will be performing a solo set featurings arrangements of his trio work, and original songs.
