Jack Hawthorne Quartet – Tuesday, 24th of October 2023:
Jack Hawthorne is a young up-and-coming Sydney-based guitarist emerging into the Sydney jazz scene. Inspired by the likes of Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau, and Wayne Shorter, Jack has put together a phenomenal band consisting of established Sydney musicians, Freddie Stafford (piano), Cairn Peterson (bass), and Elliot Carter (drums).
They will be performing a range of original music, as well as compositions by Thelonious Monk, Pat Metheny, and Jim Hall, covering a range of different styles from beautiful ballads to riveting swingers.
