With fiery solos, contagious grooves, and charming melodies, these extremely fine NZ and AUS musicians write inspiring jazz music that is as brilliantly artful as it is beautifully accessible.
The five-piece, who are back by popular demand, now on their seventh tour of Australia, are gathering all sorts of national accolades: such as guitarist Allardice, taking the 2017 NZ APRA jazz composition of the year award; pianist Sweeting, who was selected in the top three of the 2016 Freedman Jazz Finals at the Opera House; double bassist Botting, who was a grand finalist at the 2015 National Jazz Awards at Wangaratta Jazz Festival.
The ensemble’s most recent release ‘Good Winter’ was nominated for APRA New Zealand jazz album for the year.
