Di Bird Jazztet- The Music of Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick. – Saturday, 22nd of July, 2023:
Di Bird is a true professional having graced the stages of many major jazz festivals including Manly, Magnetic Island, Lindeman Island, Bellingen, Newcastle, and Devonport in Australia and Queenstown International, and Bay of Islands in New Zealand multiple times.
Having studied under the musical baton of jazz icon Kerrie Biddell, Di interprets the story within the lyrics and stays true to the melody. Her voice has been described as warm, and full of soul.
Di produced and performed in the Carol King “Tapestry” show which sold out concerts for the past 7 years. She is now excited about this new musical project “The Music of Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick”.
Choosing the cream of Australian Jazz musicians Di will present the music of Burt Bacharach and the songs made famous by Dionne Warwick, with bassist Craig Scott as musical director, Michael Bartolomei on Keys, Cameron Reid on Drums, Craig Walters on Saxes and introducing Jane Solo on backing vocals.
We are really excited to present this show which includes songs like What The World Needs Now, Walk on By, and Alfie.
