Maggie Gould has performed internationally with Bruce Foreman, Russell Malone Nanny Assis, John di Martino, Kevin Field, Ron Samson, Miguel Fuentes, Leo Traversa, Tommy Campbell, Alex Griffith Claude McKnight, Alex Foster, and recorded with guitarist Russell Malone her new album and performed a funk soul concert with Commodores Ronald La Praed and band.
Maggie had a residency in London and sang with Dionne Warwick who said ‘you tell a story girl, don’t change a thing”.
Maggie has sung at Blue Note, Jazz Forum, Zinc NYC, and many festivals and tours with Nanny Assis from Brazil, Nanny Assis, an award-winning vocalist, composer, producer, and instrumentalist suggested her voice suited Brazilian jazz – her love of Bossa Nova was realised. Nanny produced her album ToDo Amor has been well-received internationally. They run an events company putting together festivals also teaching workshops in jazz and Brazilian Jazz.
Her new album is to be released in New York, with music from Brazilian composers, Djvanne, Edu Lobo, and Jobim, originals, and jazz American Songbook and Bossa Nova.
Pianist and composer Kevin Field has collaborated with some of the top international names in jazz including Grammy-nominated guitarists Mike Moreno and Nir Felder who feature on his latest album Soundtology, released worldwide by European label Timezone.
He has also performed or recorded with a diverse range of artists including George Garzone, Will Vinson, Mike Stern, James Muller, Obed Calvaire, Terreon Gully, James Morrison, Nate Wood, Orlando le Fleming, Charles Haynes (drummer/producer for Kanye West & Lady Gaga), Matt Penman and Nathan Haines. Kevin is also the musical director for the Alchemy project – a 12-member musical collective whose debut album reached number 11 on the NZ album charts.
