Jason Picker Trio & Friends – Tuesday, 18th of July 2023:
Bringing his American roots across the Pacific Ocean, San Diego native Jason Picker has been a rising part of the Sydney jazz scene. Combining old-school blues with both traditional and modern jazz ideas, his unique style has found a place in both Southern California and New South Wales. Jason studied Jazz Performance at the University of Southern California under jazz icons including Russell Ferrante (Yellowjackets), Bob Mintzer, and Alan Pasqua (Tony Williams Lifetime).
While in University, Jason played at events for notable figures including sitting congressmen and entertainment industry icons such as Ron Howard and Dr. Dre. He is currently working as a musician in Sydney, Australia. Join Jason and some of his favorite musicians at the Foundry for a night of swinging standards, original compositions, and intimate ballads.
