Alex Sky Quartet – Wednesday, 14th of June 2023:
Alex Sky is an 18-year-old pianist emerging on the Sydney jazz scene. He is joined by good friends and some of Sydney’s most accomplished young musicians – Damon Poppleton on Sax, Mitchell Minotto on Drums, and Matthew Ling on Bass. On this night at Foundry616, they’ll be playing a combination of Alex’s original compositions, and their own interpretations of some Jazz standards.
Rumours of lots of swings, potentially mad grooves, and an all-round good time from this exciting collective of young musicians are rife – we wouldn’t recommend missing it.
