Sarah Vandenberg band:
Sarah Vandenberg is a Jazz vocalist, best known for her warm and clear tone. She is studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and was a finalist this year for the Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship.
Sarah also performed at Encore in 2021, a showcase of the best musical performances from HSC 2020, and has experience playing with some of the best jazz musicians across Sydney.
Her vocal directness has been likened to Carmen McRae by Dr. Kevin Hunt. She is inspired by Carmen’s music, alongside other female jazz vocalists such as Sarah Vaughan, Jazzmeia Horn, and Esperanza Spalding.
The Sarah Vandenberg Quartet features the wonderful Thomas Odell on Piano, the skillful James Burgess on Double Bass, and the amazing Matt Simmonds on Drums. She is excited to bring forth her own original music as well as arrangements of her favorite jazz pieces.

PCSD:
PCSD is a 10 piece collective assembled by Ravi Trachtenberg-Ray and Lee Orszaczky with the intention of performing original works by up and coming Sydney Composers. Inspired by the music of Australian jazz legends 10 Part Invention, PCSD aims to experiment and push boundaries – bringing the audience with them through rich, colourful textures and dizzying heights.
