Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival Presents: Lilith Night:
Lilith Night is an international celebration of diverse female composer-performers, across a dizzying range of genres.
Directed by Australian musician Maryanne Piper, Lilith Night’s cross-genre programming has been enthusiastically received by audiences.
For the festival, composer and performer pianist Keyna Wilkins will launch a new solo album before performances featuring clarinetist Maryanne Piper, trumpeter Rachel Drubetsky and drummer Chloe Kim. They will perform music by female composers from around the globe, including: Sunna Gunnlaugs (Iceland), Jenna Cave (Australia), Christina Fuchs (Germany), Issie Barratt (UK), Tania Giannouli (Greece), Sian Lindsay (Australia), Shannon Mowday (South Africa/Norway), Loretta Palmeiro (Australia), Eve Beglarian (USA/Armenia), Kathrine Windfeld (Denmark), Hildegunn Øiseth (Norway), Tomeika Reid (USA), Kasia Pietrzko (Poland), Meredith Bates (Canada), and many more.
