SIMA presents Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival: Zela Margossian Quintet – Thursday, 3rd of November 2022:
As part of the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival Zela Margossian Quintet is an ARIA-nominated ethno jazz band based in Sydney, performing original works carrying influences from Armenian traditional music.
Zela’s compositions have an authentic approach of combining classical and folk with the improvisational attitude of contemporary jazz.
Recently signed to the prestigious US label, Ropeadope, come and immerse yourself in the rich polyrhythmic melodies and flavours of Zela Margossian and her accomplished Quintet.
