Choro is a Brazilian instrumental genre that has its roots in the late 19th century as an amalgamation of African rhythms and European classical music. A lively and cheerful beat, improvisation, and typical Brazilian instrumentation characterise it.
After performing in a variety of Brazilian music ensembles, mandolinist Roberto Steyer, 7-string guitarist Ricardo Steyer and percussionist Renato Feijó combined forces to form Trio Teleboteco, they will be joined by the amazing clarinetist Laura Balthazar.
The repertoire consists of a range of styles within the genre, including rearrangements and rhythms such as baião and maxixe.
