In his ongoing celebration of the music of the iconic Blue Note record label, drummer/bandleader Andrew Dickeson presents the next chapter in this ongoing musical voyage.
Blue Note Records had an incredible roster of musicians – including Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Jackie McLean, Joe Henderson, Art Blakey, Wayne Shorter, and many more giants of modern jazz.
For this special night, Andrew will be joined by Simon Ferenci on trumpet, Damon Poppleton on saxophone, pianist John Harkins, and Brett Hirst on the bass – to pay tribute to these and more of the Blue Note musical greats.
The music of Blue Note combines the infectious grooves of swing, gospel & soul music with the language of swing and bebop – and it’s guaranteed to raise your spirits and wash away your blues!
