Over the last dozen or so years Mike Nock has played numerous gigs at Foundry 616, in a number of different formats – joined by some of the country’s finest musicians, both established and up and coming. Not surprisingly he’s forgotten just how many, but he does remember playing on the actual opening night.
Last year, Mike celebrated being inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame, and over the years, he has won numerous awards and critical accolades.
Now is a great time to reflect on a lifetime of superb music making with a very special night celebrating friendship and a multitude of inspired performances. Fittingly Mike is united with the musicians of his long established quartet featuring Karl Laskowski on tenor sax, bassist Brett Hirst and their original drummer, Toby Hall.
This is definitely a night not to miss!
