“A quintessential jazz club experience” – Eric Myers, Jazz writer The Australian.

The fact that Gregg Arthur doesn’t sound like the legendary Nat ‘King’ Cole is the perfect place to start. It’s Gregg’s unique style and warm tenor voice that get you right away, and he brings these song to life on stage at Foundry 616 with brilliant Australian trumpeter Warwick Alder.

From Straighten Up And Fly Right, to Stardust and Unforgettable, right through to Nat ‘King’ Cole’s final recording L-O-V-E.

Gregg and Warwick lovingly pay homage to not only one of the greatest singers of the 20th century, but also one of the greatest jazz pianists, admired by everyone in his day including the great Oscar Peterson.

Gregg and Warwick are joined by Peter Locke on piano, who has studied and performed the Nat ‘King’ Cole trio songbook for decades. Along with Craig Scott on double bass, Andrew Dickeson on drums, this is evening of music that is not to be missed.

“Some people got it, and some people don’t. Gregg Arthur is one of the ones who does, it’s the devilish art of being a jazz singer” – John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald.

“… this exceptional singer, like Sinatra, delivers immortal melodies with impeccable phrasing” – The Weekend Australian.
