Friday, 23rd August will be a standout event for the Sydney Jazz scene, bringing together two of Australia’s premier jazz soloists supported by an all-star trio.
Trombonist Adrian Mears, who has spent many years in Europe, has earned a reputation as one of the world’s leading jazz trombonists. He is also a renowned composer/arranger and a professor at Europe’s prestigious Jazz Institute in Switzerland.
Similarly, the acclaimed saxophonist Dale Barlow has built an impressive international career, performing and recording with legendary jazz greats. He has recently returned to Sydney.
Joining them will be a stellar trio: Andrew Dickeson on drums, who has worked with a who’s-who of Australian and international jazz stars; the incredible Kevin Hunt on piano; and Brendan Clarke on bass, making everything feel good. This is truly the “A-team” rhythm section!
