Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival and Foundry616 present Leonie Cohen Trio plus special guests Paul Cutlan & Nicky Crayson
Leonie Cohen is a gifted jazz pianist and composer who has appeared at the Melbourne Festival, Sydney Festival and the Sydney Opera House.
Cohen’s trio will be fleshed out with saxophone from Paul Cutlan, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with Lou Reed, Jerry Lewis and Michael Bublé, as well as being a long-standing member of the Australian Art Orchestra, and the ARIA-winning world music group MARA!
The quartet will perform compositions combining jazz, classical and traditional Jewish melodies before vocalist and improviser Nicky Crayson performs jazz standards and cheeky arrangements of your favourite 80s pop songs.
