Carlotta Centanni Album Launch “Napoli, Resta Cu’mme” – Saturday, 28th of October, 2023:
Carlotta Centanni, the Italian singer from Rome returns to Foundry to launch her album number 4 since she migrated to Australia in 2008.
This new work is a dedication to Carlotta’s Grandfather Armandino Zingone, an icon of Neapolitan music and Carosone’s greatest collaborator, and to her mother Giovanna who sang these beautiful Neapolitan songs to Carlotta when she was a child. Carlotta is known for the deep color of her voice and for her heartfelt and soulful performances.
Her albums are a mixture of original songs, standard jazz, and bossanova, pretty much Carlotta’s style of music.
This new album collects nine of the greatest Neapolitan songs arranged and performed by her Roman band composed of renowned jazz music players, Andrea Pagani, Daniele Basirico, Juan Carlos Albelo Zamora, and Flavio Vargas. She will be performing at Foundry616 with some of Sydney’s greatest jazz musicians, Luca Crome on Piano, Mark Howard on Double Bass and Cello, and Juan Carlos Allende on Percussion. In the vibrant streets of Napoli during the 1960s, a musical night unfolded, enchanting all who were fortunate to witness it.
The air was filled with the passionate melodies of traditional Neapolitan songs, serenading lovers, and igniting a collective spirit. Harmonious voices transported listeners to a world of romance, joy, and timeless Italian culture. It was a night where music painted the city with its vibrant colours, echoing through every corner, etching beautiful memories in the hearts of those who experienced it.
Don’t miss the magical experience of a night in Napoli listening to the most beautiful Neapolitan songs performed by the genuine and soulful voice of Carlotta Centanni whilst dining at Foundry616 in Sydney.
