Anna Salleh & Guy Strazz AFRO LATIN MOODS QUARTET with Loretta Palmeiro and Jess Ciampa:
“The virtuosity is dazzling” – The Melbourne Age
“Unaffected, Warm-hearted” – Sydney Morning Herald
“To die for … Exquisite, uplifting, enchanting” – Troubadour Club
Anna Salleh and Guy Strazz breathe Brazilian grooves of bossa nova, choro, and Afro-samba. They pay homage to classics by Tom Jobim and Baden Powell and woo audiences with vocal artistry and masterful guitar work on originals, such as the APRA-awarded Mandela.
Foundry regulars will remember Anna Salleh from her previous popular residency Gorgeous Songs from Brazil & Beyond, and award-winning guitarist, composer and recording artist, Guy Strazz, who collaborates with artists as diverse as Slava Grigoryan, Matt McMahon, and Vince Jones.
Tonight, they join forces with exquisite clarinetist and saxophonist Loretta Palmeiro and much-loved maestro of percussion Jess Ciampa in a new quartet not to be missed.
