Justin Yeo Quartet ft Jason Picker (LA) – Wednesday, 21st of June 2023:
Justin Yeo is a young emerging saxophonist with a unique lyrical voice, inspired by a wide range of artists across the jazz lineage including Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Seamus Blake, and Dexter Gordon. His group will perform a combination of original compositions along with refreshing arrangements of classic jazz standards. This night will feature American jazz pianist, Jason Picker, who recently graduated from the prestigious jazz course at the University of Southern California.
It will also feature the unique talents of Cairn Peterson on double bass, and Elliot Carter on drums.

These young players are developing a strong musical bond while playing a lot of jazz tradition. I was thrilled with their opening of Yes or No by the great Wayne Shorter. The rhythm section of Cairn Peterson (bass) and Elliott Carter (drums) is also an exciting pairing. Both players generate a lot of very tasteful energy. This will be a great night of music.”
