John Harkins presents Harkins’ Larkins: Wednesday, 21st of July, 2021:
Pianist John Harkins presents four of the very best young jazz musicians playing in Australia today. Guitarist Leo Larratt, Tenor saxophonist Lachy Hamilton, Bassist Jacob Graham, and Drummer George Greenhill make up this great band.
Extra special tonight is the launch of their debut CD. The recording was born out of a desire from John Harkins to give some hope and inspiration to these 4 young groovers during this lasting worldwide pandemic. Lots of future plans to study in places like NYC and Europe have had to be postponed indefinitely.
All of these exciting players represent the future of creative, swinging Jazz in this country. Come on down and hear Harkins’ Larkins!
