SIMA presents The Catholics:
Led by ARIA-winning bassist Lloyd Swanton (The Necks), The Catholics are one of Sydney’s most-loved jazz supergroups.
Their 25-year history has resulted in eight critically acclaimed albums that traverse the globe with influences from African, Eastern and Caribbean music.
Rolling Stone praised the all-star band for its ‘richness, diversity, accessibility, virtuosity, imagination, and inventiveness’ – we love this group’s ability to make swinging jazz work overworld beat grooves – think what you’d hoped Paul Simon might have written after Graceland!
