Andrew Dickeson’s “FRESH SOUNDS” – Tuesday, 18th of May 2021:
Drummer & bandleader Andrew Dickeson is excited to present a brand new project featuring some of Sydney’s brightest young talent.
He writes: “Saxophonist Tessie Overmeyer is one of the most exciting and original voices that I’ve heard in a long time, and
trumpeter Bernice Tesara has a warmth and maturity to her style that is rare and refreshing.”
Andrew, Tessie, and Bernice will be joined by Andrew’s regular rhythm section comrades – Aaron Blakey and Jacob Graham.
They will be presenting a dynamic mixture of original compositions and some classic standards.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear some of Australia’s most talented young jazz musicians with a cooking rhythm section.
