Mosaic Jazz Collective (MJC) – Tuesday, 14th of May 2024:
Mosaic is back!
After their previous sell-out show in March, Mosaic (Fine Music Sydney Artists in Residence) returns to Foundry616 as part of their bi-monthly residency for an explosive night of original Australian music.
Mosaic is a vibrant 10-piece contemporary Jazz ensemble rapidly emerging as an exciting force in the Sydney Jazz scene.
Mosaic specialises in all-original compositions commissioned both from members of the band and hand-picked young composers from a diverse background culminating in a fresh and innovative sound spanning a broad array of genres.
As part of their ongoing bimonthly residency with Foundry616, this will feature the premiere of several new works by young and emerging composers such as Sarah Purdon, Eric Tsai, and Olivia Diamant!
This is your last chance to hear Mosaic at Foundry616 before the recording of their debut album “Where We Are Now”. This is not a night to be missed!
“Mosaic performs and composes with youthful, explorative energy, delivering an exhilarating jazz experience. They are sure to become a popular jazz outfit on the Australian music scene!” – Dr. Kevin Hunt, Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
