Tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander to open the Foundry616 international programme!
To open our international programme we have heavy-weight post-bop tenor Eric Alexander who will perform at Foundry616 across several dates in September accompanied by Andrew Dickeson (drums), Jacob Graham (bass) and John Harkins (piano).
Eric Alexander has been at the forefront of contemporary jazz as a band leader and distinguished soloist since the early 1990s when he released his first recording ‘Straight Up’ (Delmark 1992),
Since then, his thrilling lines and beautiful warm tone have captivated jazz fans in North America, Europe and Asia. Eric Alexander is no stranger to Sydney audiences as he’s been a featured artist in several Manly Jazz Festival programmes.
However, this will be Eric’s first time performing in a club – a very special experience not to be missed!
