Magdalena Mira (Chile) presents an evening of music from Brazil With the Rodric White Quartet & special guest Glenn Henrich:
Magdalena Mira is a Chilean Singer and musician. For her Debut
Show at Sydney’s Foundry 616, Magdalena presents an evening of music from Brazil with songs written/recorded by Ivan Lins, Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, Stan Getz & Sergio Mendes.
Magdalena has lived in Australia for the past 12 years where she has focused on her love of Latin and Jazz music. She has the unique ability to absorb and express music from her culture as well as others, creating a very interesting hybrid.
Her voice has been described as deeply angelic and wonderfully
dark, and has been likened to the tones of Astrud Gilberto and Norah Jones. Magdalena is not only a Singer but a channeller of musical cultures.
‘Magdalena Mira is an exquisite sounding and feeling singer, with a rare gift for interpreting and communicating songs…’
