Introducing Jacob Jayasena, a budding jazz pianist currently pursuing his studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Originally from Solo, Indonesia, Jacob made a name for himself in his home country, including a notable performance at the International Ubud Village Jazz Festival in 2019, before relocating to Sydney in 2020.Under the guidance of esteemed jazz pianists like Indra Lesmana, Judy Bailey, Kevin Hunt, and Steve Barry, Jacob honed his skills and developed a style that’s both unique and authentic.We’re excited to announce Jacob Jayasena’s debut headline performance at Foundry 616, where he’ll be joined by Matthew Ling on double bass and renowned drummer Andrew Dickeson.
