On Saturday 16 March, The South African Project will take you on a fascinating musical journey, performing compositions by great South African jazz pioneers including Abdullah Ibrahim, Hugh Masakela and Bheki Mseleku.

A committed advocate of building bridges between South Africa and his newer home Australia, Ginsburg has frequently toured and performed at festivals and concerts across South Africa. His deep understanding of the South African musical landscape can be heard in many of his projects.

This gig the band expands to include Jeremy Sawkins on guitar which will add that uniquely known “Cape Goema” sound to the mix.

Mark Ginsburg (saxophone), Simon Ferenci (trumpet/flugelhorn), Judy Campbell (vocals), Ryan Grogan (piano), Jeremy Sawkins (guitar), Thomas Botting (bass), Dave Goodman (drums)
