Angelina Kiara Pona is an up-and-coming French-Australian jazz vocalist making her mark on the Eora/Sydney jazz scene. The 21-year-old singer is currently fine-tuning her craft through her Jazz Vocal Performance studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of renowned musicians Jo Lawry, Virna Strazone, Craig Scott, and Kevin Hunt, where she continues to expand her musical experiences and establish her unique sound.
When not studying, Angelina Kiara performs with various groups in venues throughout Sydney or at corporate and NSW government events. Inspired by Cecile Mclorin Salvant, Samarah Joy, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan, and through a blend of exemplary technique and heartfelt emotions, she delivers passionate interpretations of jazz standards in French and English.
Her rich, warm tones have captivated her audiences from the Sydney Inner West, East to the Northern beaches.
